Robson Bathroom, Quarrington Hill

We completed this bathroom renovation in Quarrington Hill, County Durham for Robson — one of the most awkward layouts we had seen in a while. The old shower cubicle was so tight that the customer had to slide along the wall just to get inside, and a leaking shower meant the job needed turning around quickly because of health matters.

Our solution was one we use rarely but that fitted this room perfectly: a D-shaped shower cubicle. The curved footprint maximises shower space without blocking the doorway, so the room works again without forcing a full wall move.

Dark textured feature tiles inside the shower sit against lighter wall tiling elsewhere, with a chrome rainfall and handheld set, a space-saving toilet with a cistern-top basin, an LED mirror and a tall built-in storage cupboard beside the door. The customer was truly delighted — and it was a satisfying job to get sorted under pressure.
