Bathroom in South Shields

This was a full bathroom refit in South Shields. The room is compact, so the brief was to make it feel as open as possible while keeping everything practical for everyday use.

The walls and floor are tiled in large-format grey marble-effect porcelain, which runs through the shower area and around the rest of the room. A walk-in shower with a black-framed glass screen, rainfall head and handheld sits on a low-profile tray. There is a recessed niche in the tiled wall for toiletries.

On the opposite wall, a dark wood vanity unit houses a back-to-wall toilet and a small basin with a black tap. An LED backlit mirror sits above the sink, and a wide window with vertical blinds lets in plenty of natural light.

The ceiling is finished in gloss white panels with recessed spotlights, which keeps the room bright and easy to keep clean.
