Maddison Bathroom, Durham

We completed this bathroom renovation in Durham for the Maddison family — a full refit of a large family bathroom with a clean, contemporary grey palette and low-maintenance wall cladding throughout.

The walls are clad floor-to-ceiling in large-format grey panels with a subtle horizontal grain, giving the room a seamless, stone-like finish without the upkeep of traditional tiling. Grey stone-effect flooring ties the look together underfoot.

A corner shower quadrant with chrome-framed glass doors, rainfall head and handheld sits beside a built-in bath under a frosted window. A separate tall anthracite storage unit provides plenty of cupboard space, with a chrome heated towel rail on the adjacent wall.

The toilet and vanity are combined into one sleek anthracite furniture run — basin, countertop and back-to-wall toilet in a single coordinated unit with chrome handles and tapware. Recessed spotlights and a sloped ceiling keep the room bright and airy.
